Up for auction is a very nice and extremely rare circa 1860's-1880's lever crank "Gallery" air gun. We believe this to be a Selma Eggers of New Bedford MA manufactured rifle. This rifle utilizes a large hand lever to one side to cock the internal spring piston. The barrel brakes over with a smaller toggle lever built into the forearm for loading. We believe this to be around a 25 caliber and has a 22" octagon barrel. Rifle is equipped with a double set trigger, ornate trigger guard, and nice checkered wood stock set. Gun function tests great with no visible damage. Spring seems very stout and triggers work perfect. Appearance is also nice with finish being a nice gray patina (possibly cleaned) and showing normal age marks and handling. This is a pretty neat and highly collectable US manufactured Gallery rifle and definitely one of the more rare and desirable variants.------------Shipping will be $30 for FedEx shipping service, local pickup is available.
